Players Kobe Barker, Raymond Smith and Dael Redmond (South Gawler) have all been found guilty of the Level 1.3 offence “Use language that is obscene, offensive or insulting and/or making of an obscene gesture”.

Each player has been given a two (2) days’ suspended sentence, which will be applied to any further proven reports of behaviour during the 2026/27 and 2027/28 seasons.

Willaston Cricket Club were found guilty of a breach of Clause 3.1 of the Association By-Laws, exceeding the number of permitted replacement players in a two-day match. The relevant match (A5 Grade v Angaston, 7th February 2026) was awarded to the opposititon.

Angaston Cricket Club found to have repeatedly breached the 'Guidance on Permits Approved' clauses found within the Player Permit Policy & Process (Overage Permits for Junior Competitions). Three Under 12 Division 1 matches were awarded to the opposition.

Player Josh Lourens (Gawler Central) reprimanded for inappropriate, but not deliberate physical contact with another player.

Player Martin Gallasch (Light Pass) found guilty of the Level 1.3 offence “Use language that is obscene, offensive or insulting and/or the making of an obscene gesture”. A suspended sentence of two (2) playing days was accepted, that will be applied to any further proven reports until the conclusion of the 2026/27 season.

Player David Mapstone (South Gawler) found guilty of two (2) Level 2.6 offences of “Use language that is obscene, offensive or of a seriously insulting nature to another player, official or spectator”, and one (1) Level 3.3 offence of ‘Use language or gestures that seriously offends, insults, humiliates, intimidates, threatens, disparages or vilifies another person based on that person’s race, religion, colour, descent, national or ethnic origin, disability or gender.”. Cumulatively, a ban of twelve (12) playing days, with a further (4) playing days as a suspended sentence to be applied to any further proven reports prior to the conclusion of the 2026/27 season.​

Player Benjamin Washington (South Gawler) found guilty of the Level 2.6 offence of “Use language that is obscene, offensive or of a seriously insulting nature to another player, official or spectator”. A ban of three (3) Playing Days and a further two (2) playing days as a suspended sentence that shall apply to any further proven reports prior to the conclusion of the 2026/27 season was accepted.​​

Player Ethan Woods (South Gawler) found guilty of the Level 1.3 offence of “Use language that is obscene, offensive or insulting and/or the making of an obscene gesture”. A suspended sentence of two (2) playing days, that will be applied to any further proven reports until the conclusion of the 2026/27 season was accepted.

Player Scott Gardiner (Lyndoch) found guilty of the Level 2.6 Offence “Use language that is obscene, offensive or of a seriously insulting nature to another player, official or spectator”. This resulted in a ban of three (3) playing days, with a further 2 playing days to be suspended until the end of the 2026/27 season, which will be applied to any subsequent proven reports.

Player Paul Stephenson (Lyndoch) has been found guilty of the Level 1.3 offence “Use language that is obscene, offensive or insulting and/or the making of an obscene gesture”. A suspended sentence of two (2) playing days has been offered, which will be applied to any further proven reports until the conclusion of the 2026/27 season.

Freeling Cricket Club were alleged to have breached Law 2.5 of the Playing Conditions regarding where "Match equipment is unsuitable, including playing surface which prevents scheduled start of match.". This protest was dismissed.

Simon Longman (Gawler Central) found guilty of the Level 3.2 offence (Threaten to assault another player, umpire, official or spectator), and the Level 2.6 offence (Use language that is obscene, offensive or of a seriously insulting nature to another player, official or spectator) – resulting in a combined ban of eight (8) playing days.

Jarrod Kroon (South Gawler) found guilty of a Level 1.2 offence ‘Show dissent at an umpire’s decision by action or verbal abuse’, and accepted a two (2) days suspended sentence until the end of the 2025/26 season.

S. Gardiner (Lyndoch) found guilty of a Level 2.6 offence “Use language that is obscene, offensive or of a seriously insulting nature to another player, official or spectator”. A penalty of four (4) days, with a further two (2) days suspended until the end of the 2025/26 season was accepted.

C. Graser (South Gawler) found guilty of a Level 2.1 offence - 'Show serious dissent at an umpire’s decision by action or verbal abuse', receiving a three (3) day penalty, with a further two days suspended until the end of the 2025/26 season.

Danny Kaye (South Gawler) found guilty of two Level 2.6 offences - Use of language that is obscene, offensive or of a seriously insulting nature to another player, official or spectator. This is language or gestures which are directed at another person. D. Kaye received a six (6) day penalty, with a further three (3) days suspended until the end of the 2025/26 season.

R. Handtke (Sandy Creek) found guilty of the Level 1 offence of 'Use language that is obscene, offensive or insulting and/or making an obscene gesture' receiving a penalty of two (2) playing days which will be suspended until the end of the 2025/26 season.

Eudunda/Robertstown found to be in breach of the relevant By-Law regarding correct registration of players. Jack Mosey received a penalty of four (4) match days, the Club fined $1,000 with a further $1,000 to be suspended until the end of the 2024/25 season, and the infringing players (Corey McDean, Tyson Richards) shall not be permitted to play within the Barossa & Light Cricket Association for the duration of the 2023/24 season.

Lyndoch found to be in breach of the relevant By-Law regarding Finals venues, with a $1000 fine incurred, with a further $1,000 to be suspended to the end of the 2024/25 season.

Bevan Laidlaw (Tanunda) found guilty of the Level 2 offence of "Using language or gesture to another player, umpire, team official or spectator that, in the circumstances, is obscene or of a seriously insulting nature", and receiving a four (4) days penalty, with two (2) further days suspended until the end of the 2023/24 season.

Willaston found guilty of breaching Law 4 of the Playing Conditions in using the incorrect ball, and receiving a $100 fine.

Aaron Wilson (Nuriootpa), found guilty of the Level 2 Offence of 'showing serious dissent a an umpire's deicions by word or action', receiving a two (2) days penalty, suspended to the end of the 2023/2024 season and applied to any further proven reports. Additionally, the Club incurs a $250 fine.

Ray Smith (South Gawler) found guilty of the Level 1 offence of 'using language that, in the circumstances, is obscene, offensive or insulting, receiving Two (2) Day Penalty, and a further four (4) days to be suspended until the end of the 2024/25 season, having factored in previous offences.

Jason Treloar (Angaston) found guilty of a Level 1 offence of Showing dissent at an umpire’s decision by word or action, Using language that, in the circumstances, is obscene, offensive or insulting, receiving a two (2) match penalty, suspended to the end of the 2024/25 season.

Trent Payne (Willaston) found guilty of the Level 2 offence of 'showing dissent at an umpire's decision by word or action), receiving a penalty of three (3) matches.

Ray Smith (South Gawler) found guilty of the Level 2 offence of 'showing dissent at an umpire's decision by word or action), receiving a penalty of three (3) matches.

Brad Hunt (Gawler Central) found guilty of the Level 2 offence of "Use of language or gesture to another player, umpire, team official or spectator that, in the circumstances, is obscene or of a seriously insulting nature", receiving a penalty of four (4) matches, two (2) of which are suspended until the end of the 2022/2023 season.

Sean Buss (Gawler Central) found guilty of the Level 2 offence of "Throwing the ball at a player, umpire or another person in an inappropriate and dangerous manner", receiving a penalty of three (3) matches, two (2) of which are suspended until the end of the 2022/2023 season.

Darren Rosenzweig (Greenock), found guilty of the Level 1 offence of 'showing dissent at an umpire's decision by word or action', receiving a penalty of two (2) matches, suspended until the end of the 2022/2023 season.

Anthony Pfitzner (Eudunda/Robertstown) found guilty of the Level 1 offence of 'Using language that, in the circumstances, is obscene, offensive or insulting’, receiving a penalty of two (2) matches, suspended until the end of the 2022/2023 season.

Brenton Watson (Hamley Bridge) found guilty of the breach of Section 5.8 (d) (i) of the Constitution by bringing the Association into disrepute, receiving a penalty of three (3) matches.
